Consumer Protection From Unfair Trading Regulations 2008

Notice to all Church Attendees

1. Following advice obtained from the Office of Fair Trading and Kent County Council Trading Standards it is considered that members of the Church of the Holy Spirit, Tankerton (the Church) and regular attendees, as a direct result of their understanding and faith in the Spiritualist way of life, are likely to be able to make informed decisions as to the provenance of information provided by Mediums, Healers and others serving the Church, only as it might apply to their personal circumstances.

2. Those other (non-regular) visitors may wish to view information provided by Mediums, Healers and others serving the Church, in the light of their own personal knowledge and not choose to act on any such information provided without fully considering its applicability to their personal circumstances.

3. At all times advice on any such matter may be obtained from officers of the Church and should always be sought in instances of doubt.

Notice to all Mediums, Healers and Others Serving the Church

4. Kent County Council Trading Standards require that all Mediums, Healers and others providing a service at events held on the Church’s premises, always provide attendees with such material information as may be needed for an informed choice/decision to be made. Should a misleading action or failure to provide certain information (omission) be made, likely to affect the attendee’s decision, then this may be seen as a breach of the Regulations.
